About
Quick facts: Limestone rocks form over 300 waterfalls and cascades in this unique park. More than 100 km of trails with ladders, bridges, and chains have been laid out through the park, making it a paradise for outdoor activity enthusiasts.
Highlights: A walk through the park's gorges is filled with natural obstacles such as suspended ladders over streams, which in some places reach up to a dozen meters in height. An unusual attraction is the Great Lomnica, one of the longest and deepest gorges in the park, where you can feel as if you were in a mountain jungle.
Insider tips
- Bring comfortable trekking shoes with good grip, because wet paths can be slippery.
- The best photos are taken in the morning, when light reaches deep into the gorges.
- Avoid weekends if you want to avoid crowds on the ladders and footbridges.
- Do not forget water and light provisions, as there are not many shops within the park.
