Quick facts: This center brings together art, literature, and history in one building with 30,000 books in Somali, English, and Arabic. Over 50,000 visitors come here annually for workshops, exhibitions, and cultural events.
Highlights: Next to the library you will find living murals covering an entire floor, painted by local artists during a week-long Street Art festival. Hanging on the facade is a giant metal installation with 150 hand-shaped letters of the Somali alphabet, which glows in warm orange light in the evening.
