Quick facts: From this hilltop viewpoint in Granada's Albaicín neighborhood, you get the single best view of the Alhambra framed against the Sierra Nevada mountains. The plaza fills with over a thousand people each evening to watch the sky shift through gold, pink, and deep purple.
Highlights: Just before sunset, local flamenco guitarists often appear and play for tips, their music echoing off the stone walls as the Alhambra's towers catch the last light. The acoustics between the mirador wall and the valley below create a natural amphitheater effect that makes every note carry across the entire square.

- Skip the crowded main wall section and head to the lower stone bench on the left side for better views with fewer people.
- Wear layers: the breeze picks up sharply once the sun drops behind the mountains.
- The plaza gets packed 30 minutes before sunset, so arrive early or come on a weekday in shoulder season (May or September).
- For a quieter experience, visit at dawn instead: same view, almost no crowd, and the light hits the Alhambra directly.
