Quick facts: From its 130-meter perch, this 14th-century fortress offers a 360-degree panorama stretching from the Mediterranean to the mountains. Two thousand Phoenician soldiers once defended this hilltop, and its walls have survived cannon fire from multiple sieges throughout Spanish history.
Highlights: The panoramic view from the Torre Blanca has been called "the best view in all of Andalusia" by locals who watch the sunset paint the city pink and gold. On clear days you can spot the coast of Africa across the Strait of Gibraltar, a sight that has stunned visitors for over 600 years.
