Quick facts: Two castles in this town hide medieval frescoes considered the best preserved in Switzerland. There are also impressive walls that reach a height of up to 15 meters and provide an excellent view of the Rhine River.

Highlights: One of the castles has an interior with frescoes depicting legends of knightly battles, which is very rare in this part of Europe. From the walls, you can see how the river merges with the forest and villages, giving a special sense of time standing still.
