Datos rápidos: Proveniente de las 16 iglesias de madera de Chiloé, inscritas en la lista del patrimonio mundial de la UNESCO, esta casa de oración de troncos imita con su fachada a la catedral de Santiago. Toda la estructura está unida con tarugos de madera sin un solo clavo, y sus paredes revestidas de tejas están talladas en amarillo brillante con acentos violetas.
Destacados: Los masivos contrafuertes exteriores de madera sostienen la alta torre por varios lados, como si un pájaro se apoyara en el suelo con sus alas. Al tocar las paredes con los dedos se siente la aspereza de las tejas pulidas por los siglos, y en el interior flota un aroma de resina e historia.

- Wear sturdy shoes, as you will have to climb a couple of hundred steps up the hill.
- The best photo spot is the square in front of the facade, and at sunset the eastern side turns orange.
- Do not take photos during mass and quietly examine the vault after the service, the wood pattern there resembles the bottom of an overturned boat.
