त्वरित तथ्य: Its Great Hall floor features 30,000 tiles laid in a checkerboard pattern, and the entire building was saved from demolition in the 1950s after a public campaign. The Minton tile floor is so massive that it takes a team of conservators several weeks just to clean it.
