クイックファクト: 広い木製の門をくぐると、念仏の静けさと磨かれた梁に温かい日差しを感じます。優雅な五重塔が完璧に整えられた庭園を支えています。約1300年の松が内部庭園に立ち、活気ある季節の儀式がいまだに行われ、僧侶がシンプルな菜食料理を参拝者に提供します。
見どころ: 593年に聖徳太子によって創建され、この場所は7世紀の元の配置を今も守り、五重の塔と広い石の中庭があり、鐘の低い響きが肋骨の下で振動します。タイミングが合えば、僧侶が護摩の火の儀式を行い、参拝者が一本の木製の祈りの棒を火に投げ入れ、松と白檀の鋭い煙が立ち込め、灰が足元でざくざくと音を立てる様子を見ることができます。
