見どころ: 天井がドーム状に連なる61の通りと約4,000軒の店が迷路のように入り組んだ空間では、真鍮のランプが鈍く光り、皮革とスパイスとシナモンの甘い香りが混ざって鼻をくすぐる。中央の古い石造りの建物は1460年代に築かれたと伝わり、石床の反響で商談の声がこだまするため、古い仕来りで店主が重い真鍮の天秤を取り出して品物を量り、交渉がまとまると小さなロクムを差し出すことがよくある。
