Getting around

Walking covers Day 1 best: Sapa Market, Cat Cat Village, Ham Rong Mountain, and the night market all sit within the compact town center, so lace up your boots and explore on foot. For Day 2, rent a motorbike (around 150,000 VND daily) to reach Muong Hoa Valley, Silver and Love Waterfalls, and Tram Ton Pass; the winding mountain roads reward confident riders. Grab operates throughout Sapa and taxis run about $0.3 per kilometer for longer hops. Day 3 requires the Fansipan cable car from the station near town, then a taxi or Grab to Ta Phin Village and the Ancient Rock Field. Local buses connect Ta Phin back to Sapa in roughly 40 minutes.
