Hitre informacije: Vlažen zrak nosi vonj stare opeke, svetloba pa se v mirni vodi zrcali med neskončnimi stebri kot tisoč majhnih ognjemetov. Mnogi obiskovalci se ustavijo pred kariatidama z obrnjenima obrazoma, kar prostoru doda skrivnostno noto in vzbuja ugibanja o njunem izvoru.
Vrhunci: Pod visokim svodom se zrcali gozd 336 marmornih stebrov, razporejenih v 12 vrstah po 28, in v hladnem, vlažnem zraku kapljice odmevajo kot tih dež. Pri dveh stebrih ležita dve marmorni glavi Meduze, ena na bok, druga obrnjena na glavo, verjetno prinešeni iz starejših rimskih stavb, obiskovalci pa pogosto šepetajo ob njihovih hladnih, marmornatih obrazih in poslušajo občasne intimne koncerte.
