1. ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum

Snabba fakta: A colorful rainbow panorama on the roof by Olafur Eliasson measures 150 meters and consists of 12 different color shades. From above you can see all of Aarhus in any weather, because the glass walkway Your Rainbow Panorama is open year-round.

2. Moesgaard Museum
A museum where you trip over Viking swords and travel back in time 10,000 years. Down a slanted corridor with a glass wall, you will descend straight into the Stone Age.

3. Aarhus Domkirke
Here you are not afraid of heights, but of beauty. From the tower you will see all of Aarhus in the palm of your hand, and inside you will be amazed by medieval frescoes and a golden altar.
Snabba fakta: At almost 100 meters, it is the tallest church in Denmark and its tower is visible from most parts of the city. Inside you will find the longest surviving wall paintings in all of Scandinavia, covering an incredible 1,500 square meters.

4. Marselisborg Slot

6. Aarhus Rådhus
You enter a functionalist palace that is both an office and a work of art. A 60-meter tower with a view of the entire city awaits you, and a carillon you must not miss.

7. Dokk1

Food scene is seriously underrated. Had the best smorrebro at a tiny place near the cathedral. Cheaper than I thought too.
Get the Aarhus Card if youre doing more than 2 museums. It pays for itself fast plus includes bus transport around the city.
Weather was cold even in June which killed my vibe a bit. Locals were super friendly though and the coffee shops are everywhere. Nice weekend spot.
Took the free walking tour and our guide was hilarious. Aarhus feels way more chill than Copenhagen but still has great energy at night.
Dont bother with taxis they are ridiculous. The light rail is clean and goes straight from the station to everything you need. Download the app before you go.
