Rychlá fakta: Je nejstarším aktivním majákem na Jadranu a jeho světlo poprvé zazářilo v roce 1818. Elektrický proud dostal až v roce 1960 a do té doby ho udržovali tři strážci střídající se v osmihodinových směnách.
Zajímavosti: Kámen na jeho stavbu byl přivážen loděmi z lomu na ostrově Brač, ze stejného, z něhož byl postaven Diokleciánův palác ve Splitu. Z výšky 36 metrů je výhled na tři státy najednou: Chorvatsko, Slovinsko a Itálii, a za jasných dnů jsou vidět i obrysy Alp.

- Wear comfortable sneakers as the path to the lighthouse is rocky and uneven, not suitable for high heels.
- The best photos are taken from the stone shore to the right of the lighthouse, where you can also capture the old stone pier in the frame.
- Avoid June weekends as it can get crowded here due to nearby campsites.
- Bring a windbreaker even in good weather, as the bora wind can appear suddenly and blow very strongly.
