Rychlá fakta: Marocká první veřejná univerzita s angličtinou jako vyučovacím jazykem otevřela své brány v roce 1995 s něco málo přes 500 studenty. Kampus byl modelován podle amerických vysokých škol svobodných umění, s golfovým hřištěm, jezdeckým centrem a dvojicí kaple-mešita symbolizující mezináboženský dialog.
Zajímavosti: Vstupte na kampus z červených cihel a možná si budete myslet, že jste přistáli v Nové Anglii, ne v pohoří Střední Atlas. Univerzitní kaple a mešita stojí vedle sebe, záměrné architektonické prohlášení, kde studenti všech vyznání studují pod stejnými cedry zastiňujícími borovice.
