Rychlá fakta: V tomto chrámu v centru města Ratnapura je uctíván bůh jménem Suman, o kterém se v buddhismu věří, že se jako první dotkl Buddhových nohou. Každoročně sem přicházejí tisíce věřících, aby se zúčastnili slavnosti vozů a festivalu Perahera, což je největší náboženská událost v regionu.
Zajímavosti: Je to místo, kam se přicházejí modlit lidé všech komunit - sinhálské, tamilské i muslimské - a symboly všech tří náboženství lze spatřit pod jednou střechou. Zajímavé je, že i hlavní kněz zde často dodržuje tradice všech tří komunit, což je příkladem harmonie.

- Photography is limited inside the temple complex, do not forget to seek permission from the priest first
