Rychlá fakta: Císař Hadrián navštívil Antalyi v roce 130 našeho letopočtu a tato tříoblouková mramorová brána byla postavena na památku jeho příjezdu. Brána byla po staletí skryta pod městskými hradbami až do 50. let 20. století, kdy pečlivý archeologický výzkum odhalil, že je v téměř perfektním stavu.
Zajímavosti: Podívejte se zblízka na dvě boční věže brány: jižní je původní římská stavba, zatímco severní byla o staletí později přestavěna seldžuckými Turky, čímž vznikl nečekaný časový kapslí dvou říší. Složité květinové reliéfy podél oblouků stále nesou stopy původních barev, které je kdysi oživovaly.
