Highlights: Ein kompakter Rundweg von etwa 2 Kilometern führt innerhalb von 3 bis 5 Metern an aktiven Dampföffnungen vorbei, wo Dampfstöße nahezu Siedetemperatur erreichen und leuchtende Mineralablagerungen hinterlassen können. Einheimische Führer weisen oft auf bakterielle Matten hin, sogenannte Eisenoxidationsbakterien und Cyanobakterien, die den Abfluss in rostroten und neongrünen Tönen färben und in Wasser zwischen 40 und 80 °C gedeihen, so nah, dass man die Mineralien riechen kann.
