Schnelle Fakten: König Thirumalai Nayak gab diesen palast im indischen Stil 1636 in Auftrag, und ursprünglich erstreckte er sich über die vierfache seiner heutigen Fläche. Allein der Innenhof umfasst 248 gewaltige Säulen, die jeweils aus einem einzigen Steinblock gehauen wurden und an die 20 Meter in die Höhe ragen.
