Schnelle Fakten: Das Museum befindet sich im ehemaligen Wohnhaus und Atelier von Joaquín Sorolla, dem valencianischen Maler, der für seine leuchtenden Strandszenen berühmt ist. Über 1.200 seiner Werke werden hier aufbewahrt und in drei Galerien sowie den üppigen Gärten, die er persönlich entworfen hat, ausgestellt.

Highlights: Sorolla pflanzte jeden Baum und jeden Strauch im andalusischen Garten selbst ein und nutzte den Innenhof sowohl als lebendige Palette als auch als Freiluftatelier. Sie können genau dort stehen, wo er einige seiner berühmtesten Werke malte, während dieselben Zitronenbäume und Keramikbrunnen noch immer die Aussicht einrahmen.
