Schnelle Fakten: Over 40 vendors pack this historic market hall selling everything from fresh Swedish seafood to exotic spices. Originally built in 1909, the two glass-and-iron pavilions were completely renovated in 2009 and now serve 3 million visitors each year.
Highlights: One vendor sells cloudberry jam harvested from the Arctic tundra, a tart golden berry that most Swedes only taste once a year. The fish market section offers a daily "herring experience": 12 different pickled herring varieties paired with aquavit tastings.
