Schnelle Fakten: Der Strand von Bardakçı liegt an einer geschützten Bucht direkt westlich von Bodrums Burg, mit so klarem Wasser, dass man Meeresschildkröten bei den Sonnenliegen auftauchen und nach Luft schnappen sehen kann. Der Strand verdankt seinen Namen den Glasbläsern, die einst an diesem Ufer arbeiteten, und Spuren dieses Handwerks sind noch immer in nahe gelegenen Glaswerkstätten zu finden.
Highlights: Bei Sonnenuntergang färbt sich das Wasser in einen Türkiston, der fast elektrisch wirkt, und die Lichter der Burg spiegeln sich auf der Oberfläche wie verstreute Juwelen. Man kann 30 Meter hineinwaten und steht immer noch nur hüfttief, spürt den feinen Sand unter den Füßen, während Fischerboote ruhig vor Anker schaukeln.

- The beach gets packed after 11:00 AM in July and August, so either come early or grab lunch at Kocadon Restaurant up the hill for a breezy view.

- Snap your photo of the castle from the wooden jetty halfway down the beach where the reflection is most symmetrical.
