Quick facts: From this public pier both locals and tourists hop on boats to cross Lake Atitlán to neighboring villages such as San Pedro and Santiago. Many of the classic boat routes start here, and the pier functions as a central traffic hub in the daily life of thousands of travelers.
Highlights: The pier lies in an area where three volcanoes rise directly from the lake's surface, and the view from the waves is completely different from the one on land. From your seat on the boat you can see fishermen casting their nets just outside the pier, while the mountains' shadows change hour by hour over the 300-meter-deep water.
