Quick facts: In the old town area, there are more than 30 medieval buildings, including the impressive Gothic Church of Saints Peter and Paul. In the square, a peculiar, separate small sculpture group commemorates the former bastions of the city of Kaunas.
Highlights: What makes the area truly special is the Velnio Tiltas, the 'devil's bridge', about which a legend says that the devil himself helped build it. Walking among the cobblestone streets, one can feel the weight of the past and the atmosphere that has remained untouched for centuries.
