Avoid renting a car here as parking is scarce and bus connections from Valletta are frequent and cheap. Walking around Marsaxlokk is totally doable and the views along the bay are lovely.

If you want the best prices and less hassle, get there early morning for the fish market before it gets packed and pricy. Lots of vendors do discounts towards late morning too actually.

Affordable food options if you avoid the main square restaurants. The tomato pies and fresh fish dishes were my favorite but don’t expect fancy dining.

The fish market early morning is lively and fresh seafood is unbeatable, but the village is small so a half day is enough unless you want to relax all day by the waterfront.

The lighthouse area is nice but nothing too special. Worth a quick stop if you have extra time, the real charm is the market and local eateries.
