Quick facts: Over 30 food vendors and specialty shops fill this former market hall, which serves roughly 20,000 visitors each week. The original 1908 structure was restored and reopened in 2016 after a meticulous multi-year renovation.
Highlights: The glass-and-steel ceiling survived two world wars and decades of neglect, and the restoration team kept the original riveted ironwork intact. Slide into one of the long communal tables near the central fountain and watch chefs flame-grill meats from three different continents at once.

- Go early on a weekday morning to watch vendors set up and grab the freshest baked goods before crowds form.
- Look for the small shops on the periphery, including a cheese counter and chocolate boutique, that get overlooked during meal rushes.
