How much does a trip to Fuengirola, Spain cost?

• Fair taxi price (official, daytime): €40 - €50. Use the official taxi rank outside arrivals. Verify the meter starts and the trip uses the tariff. Unlicensed drivers approaching inside the terminal should be refused.
• Best alternative: C2 or C1 train from Málaga Airport station to Fuengirola (Cercanías) (€2.80)
• Validate your ticket at the platform validator or ticket gate before boarding the Cercanías train. Keep the validated ticket with you for the whole journey. Fine without a valid ticket: €100.
• Rounding up or leaving 5 to 10 percent in restaurants is appreciated but not required. Tipping taxi drivers and tour guides is optional and uncommon.
• Cover and bread charges are not typical on the Costa del Sol. Check that any listed charge is shown on the menu before ordering. Be wary of menus without prices on busy seafront strips.
• Always choose to be charged in euros and decline dynamic currency conversion. Prefer ATMs attached to bank branches over independent machines in tourist areas, which often carry higher withdrawal fees.
