Getting around

This trip is best enjoyed with a rental car for the north coast and Tramuntana mountains on days one and two; allow roughly 90 minutes to reach Cap de Formentor and 45 minutes to Cuevas del Drach from Alcudia. From Port de Sóller, hop the Sóller Tram to Palma's outskirts historically, but for time, drive or take the hourly bus (route 300) about 40 minutes into Palma. Within Palma, the Metro Line M1 and Cercanías trains link the centre to nearby towns, while walking is best around the Cathedral, La Lonja, and old town. For longer hops, use Free Now, Cabify, or Bolt, with taxis around 1.2 euros per kilometer. On day two, take the commuter train from Palma's Plaça d'Espanya station approximately 30 minutes to the next city.
