Quick facts: A cliffside lane of only a few hundred meters sits roughly 35 meters above the water with a panorama that spans the old town, City Hall, and the islands stretching west. Red-painted wooden cottages from the 1700s cling to the slope, and the lower walkway railings are where the city's most reproduced harbor views get framed.
Highlights: From the stone lookout you can trace ferries leaving for the archipelago while the 106-meter City Hall tower burns orange in the evening light. Stay until the lamps flicker on across the old town and the whole harbor turns into a glittering map you could read like a story.
