Schnelle Fakten: Der Handel mit Wolle von den patagonischen Estancias gab Anlass zum Bau, und ein starker Sturm in den 40er-Jahren zerstörte das ursprüngliche Holzdeck. Die heutige Rekonstruktion, 125 Meter lang, ist aus heimischem Lenga-Holz gefertigt und empfängt seit 2021 Besucher.
Highlights: Du hörst, wie das Deck mit der Welle atmet, denn die Balken sind mit kleinen Schlitzen versehen, damit Wasser und Luft frei unter den Füßen zirkulieren können. An klaren Tagen wirken die weißen Torres del Paine, über 40 Kilometer entfernt, so nah, als könntest du sie mit ausgestreckter Hand berühren.

- Bring a windproof jacket and a secured hat, as gusts from the fjord reach up to 80 km/h even on a clear day.
- Plan your photo session for the west side before sunset, when the peaks turn pink and the water becomes coppery.
- Arrive early in the morning before 9:00, when the cruise groups have not yet flooded the path.
- Do not go only to the pier, combine it with the Cerro Mirador viewpoint for a panorama over the entire bay.
