Schnelle Fakten: Diese Kirche aus dem 18. Jahrhundert birgt eine Sammlung von Gemälden venezianischer Meister, die zwei Weltkriege überstanden haben. Ihr 37 Meter hoher Glockenturm dient den Fischern, die in den Hafen zurückkehren, noch heute als Orientierungspunkt.
Highlights: Hinter dem Altar befindet sich eine polychrome Holzskulptur der Gottesmutter aus dem 15. Jahrhundert, die als einzige den Brand überlebte, der die ältere Kirche am selben Ort fast zerstörte. Wenn die Nachmittagssonne durch die Rosette fällt, entsteht auf dem Boden ein buntes Lichtmosaik, das nur etwa zwanzig Minuten lang zu sehen ist.

- Sit in the third bench on the left side; from there you get the best angle of the altarpiece.
- Photograph the rose window from the inside between 4:15 and 4:35 PM when the sun is in the right position.
- Pay attention to the plaque to the right of the entrance; it lists the names of 43 fishermen who died at sea.
- Skip the crowds in season by coming before 11 AM or after 5 PM.
