Schnelle Fakten: Im Herzen der Altstadt gelegen, bewahrt dieses Museum über 3000 Exponate, die die Geschichte von 4000 Jahren menschlichen Lebens in dieser Gegend erzählen. Besucher können alles sehen, von antiken Amphoren aus römischer Zeit bis hin zu Werkzeugen zur Olivenverarbeitung, die vor Jahrhunderten verwendet wurden.
Highlights: Eines der beeindruckendsten Exponate ist ein vollständig erhaltener etruskischer Bronzehahn aus dem 4. Jahrhundert v. Chr., das einzige Exemplar dieser Art an der Adria. Wenn man ihn in die Hand nimmt, spürt man die Last der Geschichte: Der Zeiger zeigt immer noch genau, als wäre er gestern hergestellt worden.
