Highlights: In den 15 Meter hohen Buntglasfenstern sind 1.113 Szenen dargestellt, jede mit solch intensivem Ultramarin und Rubinrot, dass das Sonnenlicht den Raum in ein flüssiges Farbbad verwandelt. König Ludwig IX. weihte den Bau 1248, um die Dornenkrone in einer goldenen Reliquienkassette zu schützen, und bei manchen Abendführungen flackert noch heute Kerzenlicht über den steinernen Sitzbänken und verstärkt die fast mystische Atmosphäre.
