Schnelle Fakten: Eine lebhafte Einkaufsstraße zieht Menschenmengen zu einem hoch aufragenden Tempeltor, gesäumt von etwa 90 kleinen Ständen, die Snacks, Kunsthandwerk und bunte Souvenirs verkaufen. Man hört das Knacken frisch gegrillter Senbei, die pudrige Süße von Ningyo-yaki und Verkäufer, die ständig freundliche Angebote rufen.
Highlights: Ein schmaler Korridor aus roten Papierlaternen rahmt den Weg ein. Verkäufer pressen kleine Kuchen in Form von Ningyo-yaki in Eisenformen, die zischen und dampfen und warme, süße Aromen verbreiten. Mehrere familiengeführte Stände bewahren Rezepte und Aufzeichnungen, die über neun Generationen weitergegeben wurden. Viele geben Ihnen eine heiße Probe für etwa ¥200, damit Sie die Tradition sofort schmecken können.
