Highlights: Nachts verwandelt sich die 333 Meter hohe Stahlkonstruktion in ein leuchtendes Schauspiel: die Aussichtsetagen auf 150 und 250 Metern werden bei speziellen Anlässen in wechselnden Farben angestrahlt, wobei warme Bernstein- und kobaltblaue Töne die Gitterträger wie flüssiges Licht umspielen. Ursprünglich 1958 in den luftfahrttauglichen Farben Orange und Weiß gestrichen, erzählt der Ort auch die stille Geschichte, dass man an klaren Wintermorgen den schneebedeckten Fuji wie ein entferntes weißes Segel sehen kann, während der Wind auf der Plattform nach Metall und Meer riecht.
