Die Klippen rund um den Wasserfall liegen auf 1.754 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel und sind ein fester Trinkplatz für Dutzende Spitz- und Breitmaulnashörner.
Highlights: Seine Wassermenge kann anschwellen und nach einer Nacht heftigen Regens die gesamte, dutzende Meter breite Felskante füllen, brüllend wie ein Riese, der gerade erwacht ist. In der Trockenzeit schrumpft er zu einem Dutzend dünner Rinnsale, die man trockenen Fußes überqueren kann, während die Dämmerung den Teich darunter in einen orangefarbenen Spiegel verwandelt.

- Wear non-slip trekking shoes because the rocks around the falling water are slippery with moss and spray.
- Bring a telephoto lens of at least 200mm to observe birds perched on the cliff without having to get too close.
- Skip the lower pool at midday, as animals rarely drink at that hour and the water glare disrupts photography.
- Take a position on the southern edge of the waterfall to see the full cascade as well as the open field behind it.
