Über 60 Stände verkaufen täglich frische Produkte, aber das wahre Highlight des Marktes sind die Tapas-Bars, die am selben Morgen gefangenen Fisch servieren.
Highlights: Anders als andere Märkte, die sich wie Touristenfallen anfühlen, ist dies ein Ort, an dem noch lokale Abuelitas ihre Einkaufswagen an dem Pilz-Spezialisten vorbeischieben, der 30 Sorten führt. Samstagmorgens trifft man Nachbarn, die am selben Tortilla Española Stand anstehen, der seit den Anfängen des Marktes von 1848 in Betrieb ist, der Dampf aus den Pfannen beschlägt das bunte Dach darüber.

- Skip the paella here; it's rarely made fresh in markets. Head straight to Barram or Ca l'Isidre for the best seafood.
