Highlights: A single server can carry ten full one-liter steins at once, roughly 25 kilograms of sloshing beer, and the best ones clear 30,000 euros in tips over the two weeks. The old-time corner of the grounds spins century-old carousels to brass bands, where retirees in crumpled lederhosen break into polka on the sawdust floor.

- Wear lederhosen or a dirndl like most locals, and staff serve you noticeably faster
- Reserve a table well in advance, since the big tents sell out weeks ahead and walk-ins end up in standing-room-only corrals
- Photograph the glowing fairground from the Ferris wheel at night, then slip out through the quieter east-side gates near the colossal statue
