Schnelle Fakten: Aus Altglas, leeren Flaschen und alten Fensterscheiben wird hier täglich neues farbiges Glas in offenen Öfen geblasen, die auf 1.100 Grad stehen. Das Atelier arbeitet vollständig handwerklich und verarbeitet jährlich tausende Kilogramm recyceltes Glas zu Vasen, Schmuck und Skulpturen.
Highlights: Jede Farbe in diesem Atelier entsteht nach einem eigenen Geheimrezept, und einer der Glasbläser weigert sich seit Jahren, seine Formel für das exakte Blau des afrikanischen Himmels preiszugeben. Fragen Sie gegen Mittag nach der glühend heißen Skulptur, die noch mit dem Handabdruck des Bläsers trocknen muss, denn der Abdruck bleibt für immer im Glas sichtbar.

- Wear closed-toe shoes and long pants, sparks and glass splinters are everywhere on the workshop floor.
- Stop by the furnace around 3:00 PM to see the daily dismantling ritual when the glassblowers close out their workday.
- Buy directly at the workshop and not at the souvenir shops along the road, where the price is often twice as high.
- Don't go straight to the showroom, first check out the furnaces and the work tables where you can see the glass being created live.
