Schnelle Fakten: Die markante Glasfassade des Turms wechselt im Laufe des Tages ihre Farbe und spiegelt den Wüstenhimmel von blassem Blau bei Sonnenaufgang bis zu tiefem Orange bei Sonnenuntergang wider. Mit 267 Metern hielt dieses dreieckige Bauwerk bis 2018 den Titel des höchsten Gebäudes Saudi-Arabiens.
Highlights: Im obersten Stockwerk markiert ein kleines, in Gold gefasstes Rundfenster die genaue Stelle, an der der Turm einst einen temporären Hubschrauberlandeplatz für VIP-Ankünfte beherbergte. Dieselbe glasumschlossene Aussichtsplattform bietet ein 360-Grad-Panorama, von dem aus man Kamelfarmen entdecken kann, die bis an den nördlichen Stadtrand heranreichen.
