Schnelle Fakten: Der größte Platz in Novi Sad ist über 300 Meter lang und fasst bei Konzerten bis zu 30.000 Menschen. Jährlich finden hier mehr als 50 kulturelle Veranstaltungen statt, von Festivals bis zu politischen Demonstrationen.
Highlights: In der Mitte des Platzes steht die Statue von Svetozar Miletić, die während der ungarischen Besatzung im Jahr 1941 vom Sockel gestürzt wurde und nur überlebte, weil die Einheimischen sie im Keller versteckten. Unter dem Pflaster des Platzes verbirgt sich ein System unterirdischer Gänge, die einst das Rathaus mit der nahe gelegenen Kirche verbanden.

- Take photos early in the morning, when the square is empty and the light is soft.
